WILD EXPERIMENTS

Birthday games

Since 2012, I have been making video games as birthday gifts. My focus is always on trying to tell a personal story by using game mechanics.

While these only have meaning if you know who their addressed too, they are a great exercise to find meaning in mundanity.

COOL GUYS DON'T LOOK AT EXPLOSIONS

Never give me a Kinect again. This app plays an explosion behind you.

THE CHENNY

A crazy game created for the Nordic Game Jam 2013. Each stick, button or bumper is tied to a facial muscle. You must understand how they all connect and generate the proper facial expressions! A French youtuber has a let'splay of the game, with 2.5 million views!

MONOCRAFT

An experiment on Minecraft. It's multiplayer but every person can only place one box.

Interestingly enough, it was hacked a day later!

QUEER

A game on social justice. It follows the idea of gender as a "difficulty level".

The idea is to use game language (the difficulty selection) to transmit a higher concept.

SUPER AFRO HIGH FIVE

No pretentious or deep theme here, just a game made in ONE hour with Matteo Ferrara.

It's a two players game, and each player must press the right key at the same time. There is one problem: they must use the same keyboard.

Phyisical chaos ensues!

LET THEM LIVE

The game was made on a simple thought: how would you go about keeping three computer routines alive?

Well, don't close the game.

The first game you can only win by never quitting!

BIRDWATCHING

A birdwatching 2D platformer made in one day - a warmup exercise before a game jam and yet a personal favourite of mine.
